I am working on some stained glass samples but I do not think I am there yet.

I think it would be more believeable, if you had a blurred image behind the glass and the glass had a slight reflection. I think using a blending mode would acheive the transparent part. Making it look like an image was actually behind it.
Though a combine node and using transparency in the gradient node would accomplish the same thing. Actually it may give you more freedom.
Anyway, just thinking out loud as usual.

I like the bevels! It makes it look more "palpable" like a real surface you can touch.

Yeah, I would have to say, glass 5 has character, kind of like what you would find a few hundred years ago in a pub or church. Now if it had a frame and maybe some object to make it older, like moss, dirt, cracked glass, etc. I think it would sell it. Don't get me wrong the render is good in its own right. I only make suggestions that you can take or leave.

I must say I like it too. With beer or not it has grate potential. Your suggestions are also intriguing. Too bad that Genetica has not sound effects. Some kind of a byzantine hymn could also add to the atmosphere.
I love swimming but more than that I love Genetica!
