Some of the features look cool, I don't know if they showed anything that would be worth the upgrade yet or not. But I guess that depends on if you need any one of those features. It will be worth it to see a more detailed peek at photoshop once they get to that point.

In cs5 the content aware options were overhyped in my opinion. It rarely worked as well as in the videos adobe has shown.

I think this version of photoshop is amazing. So many and much complex and amazing tools.

It seems that this is really one of the best upgrades, is incredible what can be done now in CS6, It even HANDLES VIDEO, and you apply photoshop tools to VIDEO!!! And they said that have redesigned and reemginered 65% of the whole photoshop tools, and made all ALSO the older ones much better.

Regarding the NEW upgrade policy it has changed in November 2011 AND have changed again in 2012 before the release.

VERY IMPORTANT NEWS FOR UPGRADES

DO NOT DELAY THEM MUCH FROM NOW ON

Originally in November 2011 Adobe was NOT going to offer any discount to users of CS3 or CS4 and ONLY for CS5 or CS5.5, so the ONLY option was to buy a montly or yearly subscription.

Adobe Will Only Offer Photoshop CS6 Upgrade Price to CS5 Owners

If you’ve been waiting to upgrade Photoshop CS3 or CS4 to CS6 when it’s released sometime next year, here’s some bad news: the upgrade price won’t apply to you. Starting with CS6, Adobe will be enforcing a new upgrade policy:

You can see it here --> http://www.petapixel...-to-cs5-owners/

BUT then this year 2012 have changed their new policy and NOW will accept giving an option for previous users BUT ONLY UNTIL DECEMBER 2012

Adobe offers CS6 upgrade pricing for CS3, CS4 users

Under the new plan, CS3 and CS4 owners will have until December 31, 2012 to take advantage of the offer.

And here is the official and real offer announcement from adobe

http://www.adobe.com...ade-policy.html

Adobe has change of heart for CS6 upgrade pricing

Stung by customer criticism, Adobe announced that CS3 and CS4 customers will be able to upgrade to CS6, not just be forced to move to a subscription plan.

___________________________________________________________

BE AWARE THAT MOST PROBABLY YOU WILL NO BE ABLE TO UPGRADE FROM CS4 OR CS5 TO CS7
___________________________________________________________

CS7 is suppossed to be available according to the new "upgrading" laws of Adobe in about 18 or 24 months AFTER the release of CS6. 12 months could there a be a CS6.5.
