I have been experimenting with the Point Light node with some interesting results. The attached texture is a little cartoonish and probably needs further refinement.

That's really nice it has a look of being drawn and coloured in.

Really nice, especially if used for a 2d game. My only critque is the drop shadow shouldn't really be there. Its seperating the water from the land. If anything you should see asome land beneith the water and fade away(in some areas, others much quicker).

Thanks. I replaced the dark shadow with some sand and made the water a little darker..

One can use the Colorize nodes to change the number and chapes of the lakes and the hells.
