I have been experimenting with the gradient and noise nodes lately and came across this colored ceramic tiles. Nothing as funcy as some of the creations I have seen on this forum but nevertheless here it is.

Believe me, it was just an accident.

This can certainly be improved upon; here's a version where the tile edges are more preserved.

It is a nice improvement. The damage seems to get more localized to a tile.

Reading that again it sounds more of a criticism of your texture than the description of a variation. This was not my intention.
As has been mentioned the damage in your original is applied as if the tiled surface was a single unit which is probably more correct for damage caused by spilled acid. However I wanted to try and show damage which had occurred on a tile by tile basis This type of damage is not probably produced by a single acid spill but by an ongoing process so is a variant of rather than an improvement on your original.

Yes, I noticed that and I looked at your gtx to see how you did it.

I did it very quickly, making it up as I went along, my first idea didn't work. There must be a better way to get the final effect.
