You need Genetica 1/2 depends on what it was built in.

To save a texture as an image file, follow these steps:
1) Select what size you want the image to be by setting the Render Resolution field accordingly.
2) Click the Render Texture button.
3) After the image has appeared, click the Export Image button.
In case you have trouble finding any of these buttons, click Help > Help in the Wood Workshop's main menu, then select Quick Start Guide. That page contains illustrations that point out the relevant buttons.

Hi, my name is Tanner and I was wanting to know if the format could be switched to .mat format somehow instead of .gtx? I use Animation: Master. Does anybody use this?

Hi Tanner,
I'm not that familiar with Animation: Master or it's mat format. Can it import standard image files like JPG or PNG? Because Genetica can export those.

I think people have the wrong idea of just what a GTX is, it is not a texture format, it is a Genetica texture build, sort of like a python script. A GTX just tells Genetica; or WW, how to make the texture.
Mat files are program specific, I don't know of any converter that will make them, but the programs that need them can usually import a more common texture format to make them.

I sent a photo with suffix .tiff but they are unable to open it. Is it simply a matter of renaming the photo to end in New members can't link or New members can't link, or is it more technical than that?

Putting a chevy tag on on a ford doesn't mean chevy parts will work. No you just can't change the name. Changing the name wont change the format, it may say jpg but it is still tiff format.
