I like the one with the lizard the most.

I love swimming but more than that I love Genetica!

That is very neat. Side-scrolling retro games... :nerd: Lately I have been messing around with making background elements. Another series of projects. Some parts I can not make in Genetica because of trees and plants.

Impressive! The split corners make it look neat too.

Thanks...

Yes, Genetica isn't the right software for trees and plants... event if we can use it to make seamless backgrounds with external tree/plant pictures thanks to the Synthesis node.

Yes, the different options of the Ferr 2D Terrain tool are great. A lot of possibilities...

Here is another kind of "simple" Wood texture :

@Allen1 :

For plants or trees you can use DrawPlus to trace very well a picture... to have a more "cartoon look". (If you register, you will receive very very very low prices for this software little by little !).  ;-)

Here are examples rendered in Daz Studio with more or less colors then traced :

Yes, I have used Draw Plus over the years off and on. I should have been more specific. What I want to do is paint l-systems using a simple brush to make trees or another idea is to paint each single tree branch inside of Genetica and have an option within the Synthesis Node that uses mask inputs to control the patches with an image or noise input. This would be great to neatly place leaves where they need to go.

On my Cell-Shading textures I just have tested with success this way to work (drawing) from my other thread : Realistoon Textures - > http://www.spiralfor...showtopic=11718

Until today I had randomly broken Texture. Now I can modify the included patterns as needed or create from scratch very different textures.

Here is an example : (Can you see the famous Cells pattern here ???   :unknow:

You should market your textures. I love the quality of what you're doing and would probably wind up using them or similar if available.

Thanks,

Ben

Thanks a lot.

Yes, I should... But I actually don't know where and I have a lot of questions before... (Websites ? Taxes ?...)

(I have lost a lot of money as I sold my books "Learn to draw with Anime Studio" because of the taxes and the change !)

What do you think with "similar" textures ?

@p6r: You wrote a book called "Learn to draw with Anime Studio" and lost money on the book?

What do I think with similar textures? I think they are ok for a little while, but would want to see some kind of progressive variety in them, so they are all unique in a meaningful way. If you could sell them as something that's generative that would be ideal. But I have no idea what the implications would be.

When I say "lost money" I mean the website where I sold my 2 books suddenly has changed its policy and they payed me with a check instead of through Paypal.

So, I had a lot of bank costs for the check (USA -> France) then for the change ($ -> euro).

From $7 (book's price) I maybe received $1 (after all taxes and costs) ! It's why I have stopped to sell them... (I don't want to work for... the banks !!!)

Ok ! Thanks for the precisions... Very interesting !!!
