Hey, check out what I discovered. Anyone who's been keeping an eye on MonsterMind's recent creations knows that the Remap node can be used to bend stuff into a circle. I found a way to bend stuff into a spiral as well.

Been having fun running random stuff through the filter I posted above. I won't post any additional GTXs since all I did was use presets.

if you change the frequency node that controls the spiral to 2, 3, 4 etc you can get parallel spirals!

Interesting. I tried with odd numbers and found that that works too. Here it is with 3:

As a point of mathematical interest, I also noticed that the equivalent result can be gotten by squashing the input image instead of increasing the frequency:

look at this gtx uses the same input texture but remaps 3 spirals!

I guess the Spiral Graphics thread is all the presets that come with the program and the free packs. I hope to see more of those in the future. :winkglasses:

Interesting to use some animations in this. I just threw in some of the presets and they produced some great results. "Moving Layers" in the Miscellaneous presets was interesting.
