I'm interested to learn how often people use our photos as compared to their own. Thanks!

When i make an image based texture i regularly use images from the library, but i also regularly use my own, to see if they are any good/are made for an exact purpose (Like a special type of wall i saw and wanted to replicate).

So far i think the resource library is an awesome addition to Genetica :)

I have to agree. The only thing I can thing of that would improve it would be a way to download the whole library at one time. For those of us on a very high speed connection this would be a good thing just start when we plan not to be using the computer for a hour or 2 and it would be done. The piece mill what it is done now is not that bad but the dialog to ask permission to download is a bit of a distraction to the creative process.

I have only use Synthesis with custom textures to create tile seamless textures.

Killer node !!!

But it would be even better if the Texture(Edit) button made it possible to directly browse on the hard drive,Maybe 2 edit buttons,One for custom textures and one for presents? That would eliminate 5 steps at least when browsing for custom images!but only 1 or 2 when browsing for presents, but as i see it both is faster.

Also maybe put all 3 check boxes to the first page under the 2 browse buttons?,Gray when choosing custom and click able when choosing presents?

I have only had the opportunity to used the app for a very shot time ,so with that said i am a very new user and my suggestions may not benefit others,

This is just some thoughts of making synthesis more productive/effective to eliminate steps to import custom images.

Thanks !

I am still in "Learning mode", not just with the "Synthesis" but with the application as an all. So currently, it is 100% for me. That will change, as I do have a good collection of photos. I remember well taking pics in the park of bushes/grass/tree bark etc and getting some very strange looks :)

So at the moment, I have not voted, but thank you very much for a very good collection of images for use.

Regards,

- Steve

My guess is that beginners and newcomers will tend to use more Genetica's photos and later more their own assuming they have a good high quality inventory of pictures.
I love swimming but more than that I love Genetica!

Photos in the park is nothing. Imagine the looks you get when you walk into a restaurant, take a photo of the ceiling, and then walk out again. Yup, collecting the resource library took a lot of guts at some points, and on a couple occasions involved angry security guards . . .

Yes, I guess the animals must have been very annoyed. They normally like to pose for a picture. :)

Try to get a picture in a museum. One is lucky if the guard will not charge holding a stun gun. :)

Well if you can't delegate a painting job to Leonardo da Vinci, you can't delegate it to anyone! :D

I recently heard a funny story about annoying animals. There are some zoos where you can feed giraffes by giving them crackers, such as this example. Well a friend of mine teased the giraffe by repeatedly showing him the cracker without giving it to him, and suddenly the giraffe got angry and head-butted him on the forehead, knocking him back!

What a tongue! They could easily be employed in a casino scooping up the chips from losing customers. :)
