I've been printing Custom Hydrographic Film for the last  year and have really had a blast!  One of my most important tools has been Genetica 4.0.  Hydrographics is the surface decoration of 3D objects such as rifles, hard hats, yeti cups, car and motorcycle parts, etc.  It used to be that the only available patterns for use in hydrographics were the preprinted designs from China. Now with the advent of printing the film on demand we can make what we imagine! This is where Genetica Comes in... We used to have to create the designs by hand or with macros in a slow laborious process.

Attached are some examples of hydrographics printed using Genetica.

That is very neat. Do you run a regular day to day business using this process?

Yes, @Allen 1, I do make a living printing custom printed hydrographic film. It took a while to figure how to do it right, and once I had that down pat, the business just took off because there was a real need for the customer to have what they envisioned and not have to settle on pre printed patterns.

Hydrographics has been around for a long time and has picked up in popularity in the last few years.  DIY Kits have been on the market the last 6 years and brought the process to the general public.

That sounds pretty cool.

Yes, I think i do recall seeing Hydrographics somewhere some time back. 3D Printing is another facinating thing within the Marketplace. That is taking very neat leaps and bounds.

Thank you for the links, i'll check them out.
