I couldn't agree more! The adjuster sounds great! That would mean infinite variations on a theme :-D

It looks to be a Macro Node or something similar. Rather nifty for certain.

Thing that caught my eye is that little icon to the right of the numeric control. My guess would be either a new design for the animation icon, or access to a graph panel or even a macro panel, yeah I like that idea Allen. It would be kind of cool to have access to scripting, could you imagine the power adding a loop or other logic.
Anyway, I am getting wayyyy ahead of myself (disclaimer my entire post is nothing more that wishful thinking, I have no knowledge of what the programmers are doing)

I agree, I would love it too.The best way for getting one's wishes is to develop a critical mass of wishers.

If its user friendly and well documented, why not? But to be honest I think scripting takes the flow away a bit. I think artist-friendliness is more important.

I guess it would depend on the term scripting. As simple script could just automate a process, whereas something as robust as visual basic or C# could alter how we create new nodes that don't exist yet that could be shared by others or create a market for 3rd party plugins.
I just think the in between area of using loops to add duplicates of nodes could be a time saver.
Anyway for now its just wishful thinking...

I guess, I didn't pay enough attention. I also see that the environment and occlusion are added for the brick. That's going to make some real neat brick texture with out having to add extra nodes. Or these are added if the nodes are attached, I guess it could be either way.

Hi All

I know I've been a bit quiet around here recently, OK it's been months :), I've been quiet everywhere, the days are about half the length they need to be.

I just got the G4 announcement. Looks interesting, I want to play with scripting.

That's me signed up. Want new toys NOW!! :toy:

Only a few weeks ago I'd thought "This would be easy if I could animate this texture", not the first time. So Zark! it's Christmas. I just upgraded to Studio with my pre-order. New toys :toy: right away :D
